I live in Hong Kong. I grew up in Hong Kong. I earned my BFA at the San Francisco Art Institute. When at SFAI, I was among the last generation of students who learn to print subtractive color printing then digital happened. I shoot primarily digital even though it took me a long time to bow to the fact that film is dying. I love my 4x5, I love my Mamiya 7 but I hate that scanner tech is dead and film is on its last legs. I still think new photographers, people who started in digital, and even myself can't print good color digitally. Photography isn't about the gear even though we really think it is but rather its the process. Take a good picture, edit it down, digitally print it and if you can finish the process - print it onto paper. Its no use sitting in your computer or not showing it. We only get better with critique.
