He is a true Gentleman. I am a big fan of his work.
See the documentary "McCullin" it is a great way to understand how this man suffered while doing his job.
There is also in youtube a great video from Canon where he tries Canon digital cameras. I am not a Canikon fanboy, but I have to recognize that Canon did a great job!

These pictures are crap! Any low priced compact would do the same or even better.

Rubenski: Compared to the already 'old' 7D this performance is only slightly better sometimes but mostly slightly worse. D3s still looks stunning (greatest low light camera still), wonder how the Mark 5D III is going to perform at ISO 6400.

Are you comparing a M4/3 with the D3s and 5D Mark III???

This one goes toe to toe against the likes of Pentax K5, Canon 7D or Nikon D7000!!!

The only flaw I see so far is only having 4:3 aspect ratio instead of also having 3:2, which is the common ratio for photo printing. This will make many people crop their pictures everytime they want to print them. For me this is a major disapointment. Nevertheless this is a beautiful camera (in silver) and every time I see it I desire it more and more!!

Iso1975: Why the heck do I want a mirrorless camera that is the same size as a dslr and falls short on performance/features when compared to it?
Oh, and another thing: remember the movie Predator, when Arnie says to the beast "you're one ugly mother#$!%"*&"? well, the same applies here. It is just plain ugly. This simply is a brick

I'm not comparing it to othe mirrorless cams, but to a dslr. The only advantage this would have over a dslr would be size, but the thing is big as a brick. Compared to other mirrorless cams it has the same disadvantage, it is big as a brick, so, if someone is on the fence between a dslr and a mirrorless, then I'm guessing it will never go for the K-01 because there is no point in choosing it over a dslr.

Iso1975: I think people are forgetting one really important point: BATTERY LIFE!
Only about 500 pictures is nothing!! With my Pentax K10D I get much more than a 1000, and believe me that when shooting a concert or some kind of event, you will easily fill a 16Gb card with more than 900 pictures and keep shooting on a new one (at least I do). I can't imagine going out of batteries in the midle of an important event.
Idreamed about this camera for a long time, but when it came out, the IQ and short battery life were like an anti-climax. What a huge disapointment!

What you say is true, the A77 has differente consumption needs. Nevertheless it should have a matching battery that would deal with those needs. This is the same that happens with the Panasonic G3-an excelent camera but with a astonishing poor battery life. Nikons and canon's dslr's also match the 900-1000 shots per charge. It makes no sense for a top notch DSLR to have such a poor battery life. Besides, having an extra battery means more weight and time lost changing batteries.

I honestly can´t understand Dpreview's comments on the high iso images. Sony's images are far worst than Canon and Panasonic. Dpreview, are you sure your comments were about the HX100V???

Even with RAW files detail is lost. Look at the map picture: the word INDIAN is much more visible in the original FW picture!!!
I really don't understand why almost everyone is so excited with this new FW. Pictures don't look better at all!!

aaaaaahh!! Ok... now that makes sense!!! I thought the new one was the 0.2. I'm glad it's not!!
