I voted for RX100 although it is NOT the best camera 2012. Nikon D800E is probably the "best" camera.
The poll is wrongly done when you compare DSLR with fixed lens and fixed zoomlens small...

According to Lenstip the new Sigma has the best MTF of all the 35 primes, including Zeiss, but a major Con is the huge vignetting.  Not a owner of a 35 mm prime but doing astrophography needing...

You should be happy with f5 att 50 mm. My experience is that 50-70mm can be a issue with this lens. Your picture is sharp enough.

I have the Sigma 20 and love it.It is soft at 1,8 and has vignetting. But your picture is pretty Ok compared to mine.What do you think yourself - for under 300 bucks isnt it a good deal?

This is very peculiar... When handling jpegs from 7D I am not able to change WB but when handling Jpegs (fine) from RX100 it is possible. Have I missed something? I can even change Exposure 2...
