Can you do depth screening with a Lytro Illium camera for stills?
PorscheDoc: These Venus lenses look good on paper, but are there any objective tests for these lenses online (Goggling did not show any hits except youtube videos)? Their two macro lenses are manual everything and youtube experts say the lenses are well made, but their opinions are based on just 'feel'-no objective test onc enering, etc. I am leery of judging lenses construction quality based on their weight (first-hand experience with badly decentered Sony FE 35mm f/1.4 which 'experts' claim was well constructed)!
I haven't had any luck goggling either.
PunkSmurph: Just got my E-M10 II two weeks ago, too bad, I would have gotten this. Although I would still be using the Olympus 12-32mm lens. I swapped lenses with my Mother-in-Law, she wanted more range on the GM-1 I got her last year. The 14-422mm PZ did the trick. I love the 12-32mm on the M10-II, it keeps everything small and light for when I walk all day with a camera. Dials are so much better than the GX7 I was using.
I want a 14-422mm PZ!
ourmanflint: Manfrotto do not innovate. All they do is copy something made by a Chinese innovator and rebadge it.
Chinese innovator lol.
PKDanny: Need AF!!
Best F-ing thread ever.
Love the sound of 5 stop image stabilization. If that's accurate, bravo Fujifilm! However I want it in the body. Olympus 5-axis is great, but I'd love to see a an APS-C or preferably FF body from somebody with badass IBIS especially since my Sigma cameras have me spoiled with their incredible resolution. I want to be able to use primes to shoot in low light without flash without added bulk and expense of OIS built into lenses.
dual12: All 10 customers of Sigma cameras are really excited.
and all others are missing out.
The direction this is heading is banning drones everywhere.
Ron A 19: The sony a6000 is 1/4 the price and has an evf
Don't forget about the excellent Sigma 30mm & 60mm lenses.
Wow this cam is really cool if you like people with comically large beaks.
If you're wanting to take selfie's, aren't you going to want to use your phone?
I hope they brought back AF fine tune for this model otherwise shooting fast primes wide open is out of the question.
Does anybody know if it's hotshoe is of standard size and will accomodate the SB-900 flash?
I like what Nikon has done here. Luckily I don't need shallow dof! I do want a lightweight camera system to complement my Nikon DSLR. 14 high quality megapixels are plenty for me. As someone who likes supertelephoto photography, this camera allows use of affordable lenses via adapter and still have fast autofocus. Please tell me this camera has a standard hot shoe and can be used with a SB-900.
Canon 8D with updated Sigma foveon sensor and articulated screen.
Glad to see this pro lens.
