I have some concerns about the tilt mechanism also. The exposed ribbon cable is an issue too. It's larger and heavier which I don't like either. The good news is that the GF5 is available at a huge discount and represents a terrific value.
The specifications has a pretty glaring omission. The PM2 has no mode dial. Actually I prefer that. The PL5 does have as mode dial
It's such a minor upgrade from the GF3. Now the GF6/7 is expected in April and I predict it will have the 16Mb sensor. I also think it will have the new and better 14-42 zoom which is lighter and smaller. Best advice - get the GF3 now to get started cheaply and upgrade for the better model when it is available.
Hi new member here. I really like this camera it hit's the features I want - low light lens, compact size, FlashAir compatible, etc. But no answer on whether it has a real USB port either mini or micro. I feel the time for proprietary AV/USB cables is over. If it has mini HDMI what more do you need? I want my USB chargers to work without having to carry a special cable just for the camera. anybody know yet?
