What, no facebook integration with GPS positioning, no smile recognition and no polaroid effect. What are you supposed to do with this camera? Taking pictures???
Clearly visible noise already at ISO 6400 is not ok for a camera in that price range.
CameraLabTester: Okay lets cut to the chase...Could anyone please list down the10 great things you can DO with this LFC:220.127.116.11.18.104.22.168.9.10.Thank you :)
It could be verry useful for macro shooting if it had the right lenses and a proper camerabody with lensmount and if you could render infinitive DOF image to get the whole object in focus.
A tip to those of you who thinks sensor size should set the price.Look at the picture quality instead. ;)
To those of you who are complaining over noise @ ISO1600, low res LCD and no sound/video recording and so on... Try to understand: That is not why you buy Sigma! You buy the SD1 because the power of the X3 sensor! Not to take low light party images to upload on facebook!I have been using both the SD14 and Nikon D700 and the X3 sensor gives (in my oppinion) unmatched colours (not low light), great sharpness and a "3D feeling", and thats why you buy the SD1!
Lillrobert: Way to much noise!
It is clearly visible already at iso800 in "large" size (1600*1198) screen view! That's not ok for a camra in that pricerange i.m.h.o.
Way to much noise!
