You said you were shooting on 3fps. I think that bumps the number of shots quite a bit. Like I could put my a57 in 10fps and probably rattle of 10,000 on one battery charge. Maybe I'm wrong with...

I've used the A700 for about 3 years, then I bought the A57 last September and then sold the A700 within a week. While the A700 was sturdy and an always reliable workhorse, the A57 feels lighter...

Nice shots, but I have a question. These shots are showing more or less of the bird. Since you can't zoom with the lens, did you walk back and forth to take these, or did you crop some of the images?

I agree: don't expect too much.First of all, it's just rumor and not a fact. Second, even if it happens, don't expect 2 stop noise improvement, or groundbreaking new features.Probably, a little...

Thanks for "showing" to me how to embed photos. Well, here are a few.Space and Science Museum The Washington Monument - the bottom of it Some useful thoughts for all present and future presidnets...

Actually, after spending some time on this site, I still didn't find a way to embed some of my photos from my galleries into one of my posts. Can anybody help me out?

Hmm. I'm not seeing how to embed photos here. But I uploaded them into my dpr galleries, so you guys can look at those (in no particular order) over there.

Well, I had a blast today. Weather was just perfect. I didn't go last night as I was very tired and it was very cold. I believe you all that it all looks good.Today, I went with a friend of mine...

Well, I'm in DC now. It's not snowing or raining but definitely cold. I'll hit the monuments and museums tomorrow, as I actually met up some friends I didn't expect and spent the day with them....

It better not be raining tomorrow!!! I would not mind some snow though... Everybody, cross your fingers!

Wow, thank you for all the advice. I'm downloading a map and starting to plot my route with big dots :)Looks like it's going to be quiet a day (or two). I'm going to have the a57 with 3 lenses and...

I know this is off-topic...I'm going to Washinton DC next week. Arriving one morning for business purposes, and leaving next evening. I'll be done with business by noon the first day, and will have...

Dear SONY,I don't know about everybody else, but I'd be happy to see the implementation of switching between EVF and the LCD in a more traditional DSLR way. What I would like to see is this in the...

Hi Perry,I think you are right. I'm afraid I opened a can of worm here with this thread. All I wanted to say as the OP is that I have an EVF and I like it and when I looked through an OVF after...

Same here: I never had problems tracking fast moving subjects. I'm not a bird photographer, but I've shot an osprey carrying a fish, and was also able to follow a seagull when I tried, and it never...

I then realized that the OVF shows too much DR (as much as your eyes can take). Less is being captured actually. So, neither one is perfect. And all I said was I like the EVF better - personally.

You got that right. That was my feeling, I just couldn't put it in words. It felt a bit old-ish...

After owning the a57 for about 4 months (and the A700 before that for 3 years), I went down to our video department and grabbed one of their Nikon D800 and looked through it.Hah! Good old days...I...

What I meant to say is that this video is excellent and looks first class, and I was wondering how is it possible to create this. After all, at best this was shot at 60fps, and if you slow it down...
