Commented on Samsung doesn't deny Android-based camera news story
Android? There are only 2 possible outcomes. Either a slow camera, or a camera that only lasts for 50 shots because it needs dual core 1,3GHz CPU. Neither is something you woud buy.

Commented on Nokia 808 won't come to North America; 41MP PureView tech probably will news story
I bought Nokia N8 this week to warm up for this. I must say I like it a lot so far. Even old N8 has great camera embedded, better than most compacts. Symbian looks like great system so far (I...

Commented on 41MP Nokia smartphone hints at the future of small sensor cameras news story
Nikon 1 and Pentax Q will remain - they are for guys that like to play with different lenses. I was seriously considering one of these, but then I realized my phone is almost 5 years old. I need a...

Commented on Pentax announces K-01 K-mount APS-C mirrorless camera news story
I believe the design is very good. It is smart - it looks very usable. As oposed to NEX. Design is not about how fashinable it looks, that is much less important than utility. This seems like a...

Commented on Samsung announces DV300F Wi-Fi-connected 'dual-view' camera news story
This is like 10th camera from Samsung with front side LCD and still there are some surprised comments. I guess it is the Wi-Fi innovation that makes this camera interesting.

Replied in Pentax K-5 or Sony A580 for baby pictures
I use K-5 a lot for low light indoor shots. With correct exposure even ISO 6400 is not a problem. Low light is a bit more difficult with AF-C but AF-S performance is snappy and I usually get lock...

Replied in Field hockey - Pentax 60-250 f4 vs Sigma 70-200 f2,8
I agree 50-135 is not particulary fast but 60-250 is a lot faster. It is definately faster than the old version of Sigma 70-200, but I don't know about the new one.
I think the main advantage of...

Replied in overpriced short telephoto primes
Based on what a nikon user told me, he'd love to have portrait option that is more suited to aps-c and has less problems with purple fringing and nicer bokeh than the 85/1.8.
He'd prefer 70/2.4...
