Excellent pano Thane - great detail everywhere. ICE has done a great job of stitching the images together - I can't pick a single seam. Must give it a try. Mario

The HLD4 can be used with the E-3, E-30 and E-5. The HLD4 has a standard tripod socket on the bottom. Mario

I really like the first shot hoosh. Great use of symmetry and the was the hadndrail grabs your your and drags you into the picture is very well done. Mario

Generally, it's not possible to revert to earlier versions of firmware. I suspect it's something only Olympus service could do. Mario

What comes between what you're shooting and the camera. Oly makes some superb lenses which really work well with the cameras. Mario

Despite the problems, I'm considering keeping it for just that reason. The IQ of in-focus images is  stunning. I just wish we had some indication of what's in the pipeline. I could even live with...

Agreed. Assuming the whole frame is in a similar plane, the symptom of only having part of the frame OOF indicates some sort of problem - possibly with a mis-aligned or damaged element. Mario

My thoughts exactly. I suspect that the perceived better AF performance at smaller apertures is a result of increased DOF. That's why I did all my testing at f1.4. After all, you don't buy an f1.4...

I know what you're saying, but image quality at any given aperture and accuracy of focus are two different issues. And BTW, even at f1.4 the image quality of this lens is stunning if the focus is...
