That's "esters" not "esthers".

Try two spare batteries. If you ever shoot in Antarctica or the Arctic like me, you will soon find out why.

Just makes me glad that I have the "old" 14-140mm lens. No problem with that lens. And it remains a very good lens optically.

Hmmm, let me see. In Europe it's VAT and your overvalued Euro. But you also get free health care, unemployment, 2 hour lunches, and at least 6 weeks vacation every year. So stop bashing Americans.

I have the Pany GX7 and zoom kit lens on preorder with Adorama (I already own the 20mm lens). It's the silver version, which is what I want (all my other cameras are black). I also like the look...

What? The V1 EVF is better than the OM-D E-M5? What are you smoking? I have both the V1 and E-M5, and I can tell you that the V1 can't compete with the E-M5 EVF. And, overall, the E-M5 is a far...

It is not easy manufacturing a highly regarded zoom lens. That means, it deserved to be rated as gold with a score of 83. Comparing against the two primes is irrelevant. Once again, a silly...

Ed - Let's keep it simple. What an elitist attitude you have. You don't know what the heck you are talking about. I got news for you. Many professionals are indeed using 43 and m43 cameras such...

Why would you think that 43 and m43 users would be ready for such a change as opposed to Fuji owners? I have news for you:
1) Take a look at the current and future m43 cameras - E-M5, GH3, E-M1,...

Yes, I have the Think Tank Digital Holster 20 which I've used with my DSLRs. It is, of course, a high quality, well-made holster. The 20 easily holds the X-E1 (with either zoom). I suppose the...

Don't understate the 18-55mm. For a zoom it is an excellent quality lens and really sharp. It will give a prime a run for its money. There are many of us that need zooms for the type of shooting...

You can't have mine! And do not assume that the price will drop because:
1) It is an excellent camera - I still use mine even though I have an E-M5 and will get the E-M1.
2) It is the last of the...

Well, well, well, so it looks like DPReview may have actually read this thread, heeded the recommendation, and decided to finally post an update to their poorly thought out Preview of the E-M1, and...

You're right. I bid $1800. Top that!

OBF with the m43 and 43 camps sniping at each other. Worth the price of admission.

The E-M1 also has PDAF for use with the excellent 43 lenses. This is a very significant development. Otherwise, get an E-M5 or wait for the E-M6.
