About me:

Bought a Sony HX5V, my first digital camera. Now I'm trying to find out, if this camera is any good :-) Until now, I'm having difficulties with - video sound quality, pictures sharpness/noise (much noise in photos, and missing sharpness)

  • Agree, I would have loved to see a compare between the TZ60 and SX710 (or SX700). EDIT: Just found the noise compare between the TZ70 & SX710. The SX710 is more noisy, and photos more fuzzy to look ...

  • In-camera processing is all fine with me, as it belongs to the camera itself :) As long as I don't have to judge on how much post processing that has been done to the photos to make them beautiful :) ...
  • Why would anyone judge IQ on post processed photos? I mean, removing noise, sharpening and and using other kinds of goodies in software, doesn't say much about the core IQ of the camera. When I ...
  • Hey Ttamzz, Are your photos post processed in any way, I mean sharpened, noise removed and such? They're looking very good. Most of the in low ISO settings, but even though they are very nice ...
