Placed 73rd in the challenge. Wanted to do an abstract with my DSLR for a while, this challenge was good excuse! Removed windshield from my ZX-14 and mounted camera on RAM mount. Kind of shaky, but that adds to the excitement of the shot. Set exposure and focus on the fisheye to manual, shooting high speed continuous using cable release locked on. Tried exposures from 1/2 to 2 seconds on various runs. It had just rained, that gave the recently paved road a wonderful dark sheen.

Placed 4th in the challenge. Located on Bantayan Island, off the northern tip of Cebu. While visiting, the curious children would come out, but when I would raise the camera they would scatter, laughing. Finally, they decided the odd, pale giant was no threat, and provided this fantastic pose. Filipinos truly are the friendliest people you will ever meet.
