I´ve used Sony Vegas for a few years. I´m quite happy with it.
IMHO if you do not need more than 4 video tracks and 4 audio tracks then the entry-level Sony Vegas Movie Studio HD is excellent value...

Great AF in good light - all AF points usable. Ultra-robust. Weather-sealed. BIG camera - look at me - look at this pro!!!
