When I first saw this image, I had a slight doubt about it being a composite image. I eventually decided it was not and voted high. I wonder if others had the same doubt.

Great capture. I've witnessed similar events too. The heron will hold the prey under water until it is dead so he can swallow it. Terrifying birds!
