Yes there is away, photograph in RAW and process to 16 bit and then convert to JPG. This will give you the widest tonal range and that will help to smooth out the range of light from darker to...

Both Minolta and Canon had to make room for the electrical contacts so they made the mount bigger. Beginning with the SRT101, the Minolta mirror was made larger, as it swung up, it also moved...

The original Minolta mount was SR. It was used from 1958 to 1985 when the Maxxum came out. The reason why the mount was changed was the the mount was too small to fit in the auto focus pin from...

When a camera body is very small, it makes it more difficult to hold steady. For me, my a57 is too small. My old Canon Digital Rebel/300D was the perfect size. The main difference is the size of...

I'm not about to replace my a57 which I got when they went on sale in March for $398. As for the EVF, I love it, I hate it! EVF is great in low light but not in very bright light. Also the color...

@agentul I had a full frame camera once, a Canon 5D and it was a piece of junk, the shutter release button fell apart at 8000 shots. I may never have a full frame again, at least not until the...

Yes, Nikon and Canon have had their problems too over the years. The only DSLR Nikon I ever used was the D1 in 2001. About every fifth frame would be blown out with the flash. My old Canons, the...

The one big fix they could do is get rid of the IR signal and give it a radio signal.
