CaMeRa QuEsT: I have always thought of the GoPro cameras as way over priced, they themselves have been expecting competition to catch up and beat them in price for quite some time (as stated in their financial reports), they've just been very lucky that nobody has done so for so long, you can bet that their overpriced stock will come rocking down in the near future, I guess they have run out of luck. As for me, I guess I'll finally get myself a half dozen of these action cameras, one for each of my kids and one for my wife and one for myself.

I loss to understand your comparison !

I think its time for DPREVIEW to be more diversified to provide reviewz of SPY CAMERAS and ACTION CAMERAS in addition to the main stream of cameras.

I agree with you 100% GoPro cameras are way over priced for too long. it's time they should wake-up.

GCHYBA: Part of the problem seems to be that if you don't show up with an slr, people don't take you seriously. Can you imagine shooting a wedding with a pocket cam? Everyone would laugh at you, even if you pay attention to light, detail, posing and editing like no one else there can...

I agree with you 100%. I haven't used my DSLR for 3 years. the compacts are so good now, particularly the last 2 years, in my opinion, in some case, the compact even better than some of the DSLR. but few of us have a courage to say it and practise it.

ryan2007: What is strange is you have photographs of people in need. I hope the photographer gave some money or offered help. It's like smile your homeless and I'll make money and a living on your plight. I am not questioning the photography part of it at all. It strikes me as taking advantage of a bad situation. If the editors or those who are going to the bank with proceeds from the book something should be done or simply don't buy the book.

I agree with your remarks 100%. portion of the incomes from the book should donated to help the poor and homeless.
