No... people have done all the greatest photography with it... we are not the "victims" of industry here that we have to adapt ourselves on them... they are that have to adapt in our needs to...

You forgot to take into account that pixels don't perform uniformly across the frame... because lenses don't and photon ray angle.Theodoros http://www.fotometria.gr http://www.fotometriawedding.gr

I wonder how the Nokia looks if upsampled to 1 terra pixel and then down sampled to... 12mpx, ...how it then compares with a D700? ...I bet you the D700 will eat dust!Theodoros...

Congrats Stan! ...I am thinking of doing so too! ...In fact I first replaced my C645 system and MFDB for the ...d800! P.S. It was about time for a good post that offers fun with education... I wish...

How can something be both "slight" and "significant"...? Besides, I don't see why you avoid the DR difference, which might be another stop measurable (as DXO finds) but usable is different... pros...

Why should somebody answer such a naive question? Did I ever said or implemented such a foolish statement... In fact I did considered it foolish to answer to you on that... I still wonder how you...

I've mentioned that before in one of my statements Leo... I do understand that nobody can possibly read all statements if a conversation have advanced, but if you look under my comments, I am sure...

I believe this is correct... Additionally I think that many people approach a sensor like if all the pixels of it perform the same, which is far from truth since photons hit the sensor at...

In reality the difference is much more than this graph shows at higher ISO and much less at lower ISO, try it yourself in high contrast scenes, print, and then you know... Tests are tests and...

I find that comparing two sensors at high Iso for noise only is totally unfair... what about DR, color sensitivity, color accuracy, micro contrast ...etc? Why people (and reviewers) don't compare...

My opinion is that there is a "balance" that alters through time and that there is a balance of owners use that relates with each ones thought... Generally speaking and based on my own experience...

Again, there is no different production for any of the D800s Nathan, they don't replace any glass or whatever, the sensor comes ready by the supplier and the two(?) cameras are made in the same...
-
1. There are no two production lines, there is only one and both cameras are produced in the same line, there is no limit in percentage either, it is purely dependent on the preorder/stocking of...
