Maybe they can recall all of the last ones they made. Most died just after the 1 year warranty was up !!
Neodp: Not withstand the efficacy of the update and overall good or not enough improvement(s) then their its a much greater point here....
No one (hardly?) said (possible or not) this camera was deficient in tracking AF or low light comparatively when they were promoting it's first adopter goodness and new pros!
What does that have to do with value? It means you can't know until the camera has been out a while and put through it's paces for the tasks photographers value the most. It begs the question; what benefits matter most? Subjectivity is not a wide... as it is made out to be. Yes there's room for subjective benefits and horses for courses to a point. There no accounting for tastes. Yet that view is completely overblown; from the perspective of new camera design. Yes that should include the user need, that's the photographer that actually takes pictures. Not Gear Acquisition and paper specs alone. There's a lot more to a total camera than that. It's a warning about over priced vanity.
.......GOOGLE translator ?????
michaelbs: I'm so so disappointed with this so called "update": it STILL can't make me a nice cup of tea!
NEODP is using Google translator to make his sentences...............
Skipper494: It does not impress me when a company keeps bringing out new firmware versions, means they didn't get it right the three times before. The lenses are excellent, the performance clean, but it's still a 16MP camera.
So with that statement means anything like the Nikon D700 are POS because they are only 12MP. Fuji is the best right now BECAUSE they are updating for free !! With a lot of other companies you have to buy a new camera or pay to get the PRO treatment !
Why not let us buy USB to lens connectors like Sigma and we'll apply the goddarn update ourselves. Never seen a Fawking backwards company like Nikon. They want to control us at every turn.........
Nikon's price of admission....$3000......Fuji and everyone else....FREEEEEEEEEEE
G1Houston: Most ACR processed pictures look considerably better than the JPEGs. Does that mean the JPEGs in D7200 are not as good as they should be?
When I had my XT-1 I would either turn off NR, or run it in its lowest setting and seemed pretty darn good !
What level are you running it at ?
Picked up a refurb from Nikon for $600, pretty sweet deal !! Jpeg, crop mode and 7fps perfect for birding !!!!!
mediasorcerer: pity they didnt go with 24mpx apsc sensor, if thats posible,
I was kidding jeeezzz.. some people think they can get a MP increase through a firmware update....lol
OMG Nikon, this is the stupidest update and a waste of money. Give us some real DX goodness g-damnnit !!
Fuji does more with a firmware update........................
oliviergaston: I'm interested in this camera and would like to know two things from anyone with experience.
1. Would the pictures be in a resolution and quality high enough to make large prints, like 24"x36"?
2. Would the sensor and available fast lenses give very good results in low light without flash?
I have a house full of prints in the 24" x 36" variety with this camera. Resolution is exceptionally fine !
Low light performance with the XT-1 and it's fast primes is as good as any Nikon and Canon ................(formerly a Nikonian..)
Yes, they are sending the new sensor via the post office when u register on their website............
More of the same garbage from Nikon............confused yet....blah blah blah...they are starting to look and sound like the repetitive trainwreck that is Toronto's Rob Ford !!!!
Nikon is really starting to SUCK big time with it's 4-5-6-7 fps when everyone else is getting to 8-10-15 fps processing and buffering...........glad I dumped them earlier this year after being a customer for 12 years(and 6 bodies)....blahhhh May have to give Canon's shiny new 7D MarkII a try !!
Schweeeeet, sure hope they are making a Fuji x-mount for the XT-1 !!!!!!!!!
JeanPierre Thibaudeau: Nice overall but about 120% over saturation in colours and contrast.
Would have to tweak the settings to get something more natural and realistic.
Also, the white balance is off in some pictures, too much blue.
Although in the same category than the EM1, the colours don't even come close.
Maybe they played with the default settings and goofed them up...
Antahkarana: I wrote the President of Nikon Japan last year about their lack of focus and direction. Namely, the 1 system being a flop in North America can be attributed to their "cheap" design (e.g. V2) and lack of interchangeability with other system cameras (e.g. micro 4/3 group). Who wants to be forced into purchasing Nikon glass at high prices?
Another dpreview reader commented that the 1 system sells much cheaper in Japan. I have to concur. The 1 system needs to be sold at a 40-50% discount in North America to generate sales.
My wish is that Canikon both come to their senses and join the micro 4/3 group to help make it a secondary standard to full-frame/APS-C. It would be great if one could purchase a Nikon micro 4/3 body and put an Olympus/Panasonic/Sigma lens on it or vice-versa.
Fuji's roadmap, new product-line, and recent comments to dpreview readers have convinced me to stop buying Nikon... I will be an avid Fuji user from now on.
(Fyi, I never received a reply from Nikon...)
That's why I gave up on Gillette and went the dollar club way. A good old 2 blade still makes 1 week like Gillette's own 15 years ago and only costs me 4$/month...............
And btw, a good old 2 blade still works best on my face even after trying all of the multiple blade razors out there...maybe it's time for an 8 blade system Gillette.......lmao !
......just fawging stupid and boring...........
Sold all my Nikon gear(except what my wife still uses)...and bought into the new Fuji X-T1 with XF18-55 and a few primes !!
Just PRE-ordered mine. Got a FREE grip included with the pre-order !!
Dang can't wait !!!!!
