Apparently many of the submitters don't understand the concept of this challenge.

"This time lets see your best shots of any two or more DIFFERENT species of animal MAMMAL..."

There is only one species shown in this entry.

Another non-mammal, single animal entry... sigh.

I'm not quite sure what kind of mammal this is...

I think you may have missed the idea of this challenge. The idea is to show off at least two different colored birds in the same shot...

I think you may have missed the idea of this challenge. Nice shot of the toucan but the idea is to show off at least two different colored birds in the same shot...

How does your entry satisfy the requirements for this challenge?

"Lets see your best shots of any one species of animal MAMMAL in which at least two are completely different colourings to each other."

I'm not sure how your entry meets the criteria for this challenge. Where is the second different colored horse?

I think you've mis-understood the concept of this challenge. Your entry does not show TWO different colored animals.

While this is a very nice shot, it doesn't fit the theme of this challenge. The challenge is to show TWO of a certain species of mammal that have different colorings.

You only have one in this shot. It will probably not do well in the voting.

I like your shot, but unfortunately starfish are not mammals and therefore will not likely do well in this challenge.

I'm afraid your submission will not do well in this challenge since it is for mammals not birds.

Hmmm, I didn't know that cats and squirrels were the same species of mammal...

I don't think you understand the concept of this challenge. The idea is to show at least TWO of a particular type of mammal wherein the coloring between them is different.

You've only got one animal in this shot.

Patchandcrew: POTH ( Joint )
One of my two POTH choices, as per my other choice in this challenge, love the composition and dof, the exposure captures the subtleties of the colours and feather textures so well, a lovely shot indeed :)

Thank you, Patch! Your comments are very much appreciated as are your challenges! They are well run and always filled with some excellent entries.

Another interesting choice of entry for a challenge that is defined for mammals. You do realize that a bee is not a mammal, correct? You may wish to choose another entry that meets the requirements of this challenge.

You are aware that geese are not mammals, right? Maybe you'd like to enter a different shot that meets the theme for this challenge?

If only this shot met the rules for the challenge... You do realize that birds are not mammals, right?
