Did you enable in your camera the "use camera without lens" function?

Great photos, I like them. If you want to add external strobe in a cheap way, check my previous thread on the topic:

Hi Riquez,
I used a DIY twin flash adapter attached to my HVL-F20S. I lit all of my photos in this way (except the first photo).
I woke up early in the morning and what you see is natural...

I think SEL30M35 is a completely misunerstood lens. I've been still experimenting with it, but I like it more and more. In the future I'm planning to do a more detailed analysis including even a...

Then it's still possible to zoom out. Better to buy a good quality achromat than to buy a useless cheaper close-up lens.
My 2 cents

I have few examples with marumi achromat on the kit lens in this previous thread:

Raynox is also good, I've tried it and it's really good on nex. Go for the 250.

Buy an achromatic close-up lens such as the canon 250D (+4dp) or you can check alternatives. I use a marumi achromat and it's good. The canon 500 has only +2dp. This is an economic option to use it...

I have the sel30m35 only for few days and previously I used an older macro (sigma 50mm f2.8) on an adapter.

However, I used a twin-flash adapter, so these pics are lit with artificial light, which adds a lot...

The good thing is that with the same lens I can record the whole environment (or bigger group of mushrooms) and I can also go for macro details:
Small detail from the above scene can be also...

Just to give an idea about the details it can record. This image is already a crop (approx. half):
..and this is a full, not resized crop from the above image:
This is a crop (not resized) from...

I got the 30mm f3.5 macro lens yesterday and I had only little time to play with it but overall it's a pleasant surprise so far.
The opininions here were mainly negative and I have to confess I was...

For 100 Euro/USD you can get a cheap but compact housing for nex-5: http://www.dpreview.com/forums/thread/3526653

Nikonos reborn? Not really. It's not for scuba divers. Depth rate is only 15-20 m and there is no real wide-angle or macro option. Can be good for snorkeling or other outdoor activities.

It exist already, but for nex-5.
Activity older than 12 months is not displayed.
