Yes. An interesting idea that seems to have divided the bloggers. However Leica have made a good wedge making "retro" digital camera's for several eons! I suspect than many may not realise that the satisfaction of owning/using something like an M8/9 is not in it's megabit framespeed or 4D video or whatever but in the tactile satisfaction of owning something that is not cutting edge but has a robust feel and is styled the same as their last 10 camera's. As an aside I think my SB11 will suddenly become a desirable retro flash for the Df if it comes the commercial success I suspect it will become.
Consider for one moment money. A 600 to a 610 varies between £150 and £550. The difference between a 610 and the 800 is about £200. On that basis raid the kids piggybank! Or, buy a 41mp mobile phone and save £1200. If it is as good as the adverts say, there should be a glut of 'blad's, Pentax and Phase Ones in different guises about to hit the market! Someone is taking a lend of us all, irrespective of your allegiance. I say bring back Kodachrome.
