  • I've played with a one image and was able bring it closer to what C1 can do in Lightroom. I'm still not 100%, and it took a fair amount of adjusting to get the skin ones of the subject closer, I'd ...
  • It appears that 69 dollar price is the upgrade price for the C1 Express upgrade. I'm looking at the C1 pro, and I don't qualify for the upgrade pricing.  For the time being, its 150 on Phase One's ...

  • I think Apple moving to making a more consumer focused app with some possible "professional" type abilities. I think they've long given up on the professional sector for photography - They can't ...
  • This is what is keep giving me pause.  I have Lightroom 4 since I was checking this out previously and I suppose I can make a case to purchasing LR 5, but I'm thinking that LR6 will be ...
  • Correct but then so doesn't just about all of the prior versions of OS X. Yosemite isn't giving us anything new in that department - Aperture still relies on the OS to render the RAW images.

  • The more I look at C1, the more I really like how it renders my RAW files, but its DAM capabilities is so limiting, that I am forced to pass on this as an Aperture successor.
  • Perhaps but hope springs eternal and I was really hoping Apple would improve AP and not kill it.  The writing was on the wall but I chose to ignore it.

  • Perhaps, but if they follow the trend of prior software updates, like FCPx and iWork apps, they'll release a version 1.0 app that will be a shell of its predecessor and will then take months if ...
  • I was probably not clear in my description regarding Aperture. Because of space issues, I created multiple libraries (I use the Managed files not referenced with AP) so I can store my older ...

Hey, current Aperture user looking to switch over to another product given Apple's press release regarding AP. I was all but set to switch to LR but came across Capture one and I'm playing with the ...
