I can confirm, with my friends Nex 5n, that my X-E1 is faster too. No one should ever complain now how the focusing is hit or miss with the 18-55mm. If you complain now after the fw update, best to...

How loud is the noise? If you have to put your ear close to the camera to hear it, I would say it is normal. If you have any camera stores nearby, take your camera in and compare it to another X-E1.

I have polarized Oakleys and the VF turns completely black in LANDSCAPE mode. Portrait mode is sort of usable. Best to take off any glasses/sunglasses before composing.

Switch to manual focus, and set to infinity. Problem solved. These cameras are not meant to be a simple replacement for a camcorder.

Sorry I like my X-E1 , but all mirrorless cameras have a long ways to go, before being considered to be professional enough for wedding shoots. I hope you dont charge much. If I hired a...

There is no need for these stupid adapters. Just buy Fuji native lenses, where you get full focusing and works as designed. Putting larger lenses on these small cameras is ridiculous.

Here is a video I shot on my last vacation. I thought it turned out pretty good. Manual focus/infinity focus used. Velvia color with all default settings. 18-55mm. I dont notice any jaggies, and...

There is nothing wrong with the current X-E1 and X-Pro1. The focusing issue is totally blown out of proportions. Phase detection is just another gimmick they add to get you to buy a new camera. I'm...

Your points are all speculation. No facts, since the camera is not out yet. Especially #2, we don't know how the IQ is. Anyway, the current X-Trans takes remarkable photos, so I don't see why...

You fail to understand how R&D works. It takes time to bring a product to market. At the conception of the product, you use whatever sensor you have available. It takes time to mass produce the...

Go to Youtube and Vimeo to see videos shot with the X-Trans sensor. I would say the video output is already pretty good.

They are waiting for you to admit that you are actually the member "ET2" that used to post in the Olympus forum. He would go on and on about how Sony sensors and camreas were the best thing since...

I agree. I'm not sure why there is an influx of kiddos on this forum shooting "stealth". That, and just switching the camera to B&W mode and thinking you are going to take great street photos. I...

No. The hotshoes are keyed differently. You can't save money by using a Nikon flash on these Fuji bodies.

I am not sure why people are having an issue with the AF. My 18-55mm is fine, even in low indoor light settings. Try updating the body AND lens firmware? And Ratty, so you dont even have these...

Just because you are on the streets, doesn't mean you can't shoot in color. Remember that.

Gariz is okay. I have a EPL1 case. I just wish it was thicker leather, and the base wasn't plastic. I currently have a Kaza case for my X-E1, which is a better quality, but am waiting for Luigi...

you should not use bounce flash unless the walls and ceiling are true white and neutral. Otherwise the color will reflect back onto all objects. Better in this case to use direct flash or no flash...

I have no issue with my X-E1 focusing or lens cap. I use a B+W haze filter and the lens cap fits fine on it. Focusing is also more than enough fast and accurate for my needs. No missed focuses...

Only you can make that decision. Go try out one at your local camera shop. Sounds like you already made your decision that you dont like EVF. I would go with XPro1 then.
