On Sony Alpha A7 / A7R preview (2381 comments in total)

As an RX1 owner I can only be happy for this continue upgrade of the full format line by Sony, giving us ( the photographers) new LIGHT and CAPABLE tools for creating new images.
There's a lot of cameras for everyone taste and needs, what we can ask more ?
It's a good moment in the story of photography.

AbrasiveReducer: Very helpful, DPR. I like Capture NX so much, I even use it for my Canon files (alhough I suppose Viveza would work just as well). Just convert to .tiff and you can use anything to process anything.

Sometimes I do the same with my "Canon files", after basic conversion with DPP I make further adjustment in Capture NX.

On Dpreview Users' Poll: Best Camera of 2012? news story (1514 comments in total)

Why not the 1DX in the poll ?
I own both D800E and 1DX. there is no comparisons possible between the two, sorry fo the Nikon, but I find myself leaving the D800E at home the most of the time. It is a slow camera. It only has 36 mp
My vote is for the RX-1. Great camera, "innovative".

Marshal: Beautiful! That is absolutely wonderful! Wish I had taken that.

"I exchanged the background int a more dramatic one"
and you "Wish I had taken that" ?
It's not "taken" , it's BUILDED.

jtwz8975: The updates went great on my X-Pro1. After reading about 1000 forum comments over the last month I have concluded that most of the naysayers out there are arm-chair-generals who have never even held the camera or owned one, (or they're just whiners). AF is a little slow compared to my D700 but only in some situations. I'm sure it will get faster with future updates however in the meantime I have gotten several action shots of my kids after only a days practice. I'm lovin' the IQ on this thing and the lightweight rangefinder handling is so refreshing.

Leave aside whether or not X-pro1 is the ideal machine for photographing children, is as fast as an 5DMKII and other amenities that the final test of Dpreview I hope will reveal,
you state that " are arm-chair-generals who have never even held the camera or owned one, (or they're just whiners"
But how dare you insult the photographers on this forum ?

Gadgety: How about a firmware update to silence the criticism of slow autofocus?

How about a firmware update to silence those who do not want to admit the reality or, more simply, they are not able to photograph ?

Eh ? :-))

This was the best also for technical skill in using a tilt and shift lens.
Compliments.
