Serious Sam: The problem I see with QX product line is the price. In Australia RX100 II can be have for A$512 while the QX100 cost A$410. For the extra 100 bucks you got a full camera body.

News goes that the QX1 is going for US$400. To be fair I can get a A5100 body with that price and I can still shoot remote with my phone.

The only thing that is good with a QX is as I said no one has a clue what you are doing hence it is a very stealthy street shooting platform. Having said that last time I play with it the link to the phone is not very stable and interface is quite laggy.

Thanks, good comment! and calculation!

Hello Pentax(or Ricoh ) Co.

Why you don’t improve low light capability or color depth or Dynamic range in this 24Mpix sensor!?
I though you known that I don’t need 24Mpix or more and 16or12Mpix enough for me. Because I don’t want to print on a billboard or other big walls, and I don’t have giant disk and space to archive that.
I just want to rock with my APS-C sensor and have better low light capability or Dynamic range than K5II/K5IIs or D7100/D7000

I think this time DPR dont give you more than a Silver Award!
Regars

1llusive: As a Nikon system/D7100 owner, I became intrigued by this camera, but that faded when I realized:

a. I'd be carrying a heavier camera
b. I'd have inferior lens options
c. I'd have inferior accessory options, such as flashes
d. I'd be limited to 1/180 flash sync
e. I would give up focus performance, especially tracking wildlife
f. It would cost me more money

Sure, I would gain increased ruggeddness, sensor shift IS, a 1.3fps increase and a bigger data buffer. USB 3.0 doesn't mean much when it takes Lightroom so long to import and generate previews anyway. I start the process and check back later.

Now I'm not dogging this camera. To a Pentax user this seems like a great camera, just not a game changer and especially not for someone already owning the latest Nikon systems with a D7100 or Canon 70D or higher.

g. you'd have limited on dynamic range

Jefftan: "AW100 helps to create blur free images with the use of Nikon's Vibration Reduction (VR) to minimize camera shake "

This mean no optical image stabilization? $380 just cracy

I perhaps it has a optical anti Vibration!

And you most compare it with TS4! Not the old one !
