I'll stick with Canon.

MisoL: When we can expect Linux version? Canon, please wake up! The only RAW processor choice, Linux users have is Corel AftershotPro and it takes them many months to support new cameras (lost sales for you in Linux users). Free software like Darktable and RawTherapee is faster in supporting new cameras, but it's usability is not as mature yet.

Linux? Lol! That's not the future!

Download a trial and see for yourself.

Nikon lost me with the D800 green lcd and poor autofocus. Then they take an inordinate long amount of time to fix this. Unacceptable! Too bad really, they have great lenses and ergonomics.

I've been shooting with Canon for over a year and a half now. The lens optics are excellent and the 5D3 is what the D800 should have been.

Would I ever switch back? It would take years of exemplary Nikon service and products that are far and above their peers. Otherwise, they can go out to pasture for all I care. Good riddance!

ianimal: Forget it. It's all relative. Your brain mess it up anyway.
Shoot the image and adjust later by trusting you eyes.
Save the money, do it easy.

I agree, I've messed with these hoaky color calibration toys and they add an extra step, the color isn't good, and the software that it comes supplied with is outdated.

Zoran Krnjajic: Still without X-trans support.
Still hard to believe.
Therefore still not interested.

A software manufacturer is not going to determine which camera I shoot with.

Nikon lost me with the awful green screen and poor autofocus of the D800. I've switch to Canon and the 5D Mark III is a joy to use. I'd like a better sensor, but my images are in focus and the LCD is beautiful. Video on the 5D Mark III also is better than on Nikon.

Tech question: after reading the specs, it seems like 1080p will offer higher resolution (i.e. high bitrate). So if the ultimate goal is to output to 1080p. Are you better to shoot 4K so you can crop or just shoot 1080p at 200Mbps?

mpgxsvcd: Micro Four Thirds just sucker punched Canon and Nikon. They didn't even see it coming. Now if only we could get Andre Agassi or Ashton Kutcher to advertise for Panasonic people would actually know what m4/3s is.

Give it a year or so, the 5D Mark IV or 1D whatever will have the 70D's autofocusing, better resolution, dynamic range, focusing, etc. All of this is good for competition. Still love my 5D3 though.

I'm buying one! Although, I will wait for a few months until they are available to the masses and the bugs are worked out. I wonder if the stills are better or as good as the EM1?

If they gave it for free with new cameras, then fine, but to charge for it? Glad I switched to Canon!

So, does the face AF work as well as the E-M1? How about video mode?

The Photo Ninja: I really don't see the big deal about this camera. Sure it's got full frame live view. So does my 5d3. It's smaller than a 5d - so is my olympus em1 - at its fast and has wonderful jpegs. Video? It's not as good as the gh3.

Honestly, I would expect more before investing in this system.

The 5d3 does as well, with better video, better autofocus, better lenses, etc. Sorry, don't see the big deal. If autofocus was super quick, accurate, and snappy like the olympus em1, then yay - cool. In the meantime, it needs work. Maybe next generation will be better. Also, they need a better video mode.
