It's the only kit lens I've kept over the years. It's a nice one and would only be replaced by the rumoured 16-85 f4. Nice shots.

Pretty well sums it up for the dpr forums as a whole, but not everyone is a fanboy, some of us just use these as tools. Your are entitled to your view of the wb between Nikon and Canon, me, no big...

You didn't start a war, amobi and Dave Luttmann don't play well together in the same sandbox!
Go ahead and print, one as is and process another the same but release some green channel in post.
-
Best thing to do is practise and test, be sure and learn to adjust wb in post, very important. Don't forget that proper wb also affects overall exposure as well, correct your wb then fine tune your...

I don't know amboi, there is a lot of green in the op's scene, even the white uniforms will reflect green and your shots (which are very nice) are not in a sea of green. I'd assume your shots would...

I have to agree with you Dave, much ado about a colour cast caused by all that green grass. A quick wb adjustment of the raw file in post would take care of this quickly.
To the op, I've never...

You have a violent streak in you scokill.
You are seeing exactly what you want to see, while others (myself included) see a busy day at the beach. It's best to hide in plain sight rather than judge...

Nice set as usual from you!

Hey Dez, I'm hungry now! Well done and nice lens.

All good!
Don't know you but I'm gonna miss you. :)

Raw is the way to go, having said that, my jpeg settings are: neutral, sharpening 6, contrast -1, brightness -1 and saturation +1. This leave me room to process a little if desired.

Nice photographs Jim, good to see and hear you are enjoying your D7100.
A little while back I picked up a D5100 body...I sold it last week and picked up a D7100 a couple of days ago, I am impressed...

Well documented, thanks for sharing your photographs.
Your images got me thinking about putting on my leather shoes, jumping into my fossil fueled car and driving to my artificially lit grocery...
-
Nice story but you may want to ease up on the sharpening and the composition looks very busy.
-
I never delete raw files, to me that would be like throwing away the negatives after I've printed them, well not exactly but you get the idea.
Using Lightroom or CNX2 gives me the ability to spit...

Very nice set of shots, the D7100 appears to deliver some terrific image quality.
-
Curious, how is the D7100 better than the D300s, aside from IQ, which it should be of course?
-
Is that all you got out of that Kelby ad, don't kid yourself as I'm sure he would use a D400 and ditch the D7100 if available. Then again, he does also use the D4. Seems to me that he is catering...

No, but I did recently pick up the Tokina 100mm macro, waiting for spring to arrive to capture some budding buds. :) I have the Nikkor 35 1.8 though which is a fine lens but the Sigma you have is...
