The shot was taken in Nantes, France. There is a museum there dedicated to the life of Jules Verne (he was from Nantes) and full of interesting robotic creatures that he dreamed up in his works. This shot was taken as a knee jerk reaction as I walked around a corner and saw this beast for the fist time. My mouth was wide open when i took the shot!
