The NEX-6 has a touchscreen, this is from Sony web site:
"See, touch, shoot - With a LCD touchscreen, just tap the screen where you want to focus and it automatically locks on and takes a photo"

Apparently you are correct, and dpreview missed it. Sony itself and several other sites state that the 6 has a touchscreen. One site mentions that it incorporates the focus peaking function; I hope this is correct, because it would be a deal-breaker if not. I plan on getting the 6 for my legacy Contax G lenses-- was going for 5 (n or r) until this announcement, but it now all hinges on whether or not the 6 has focus peaking...
