Looks like nice lens. I've used the 12-24mm on a Nikon D90 and it produced great pictures. This lens should be that much better.

I'm curious to see if the images are noticeably sharper with better color and contrast, and not just bigger.

Why would they do that? I was going to get into using my flash a bit more now and could use some tips.
