A can't disagree that it is a bit excessive... Humidity where I live is often an issue in the summer, I live right next to a river and humidity always tends to hang 70%+ at times, perfect...

I use a large gun safe for my gear, equipped with 2 gun safe heating rods and some rechargeable desiccant packs... I keep my humidity levels at the 40-55% range which is ideal... You probably...

Dog's can be very tough because of their long snouts that is for sure... Using a very narrow DOF and apertures below f4 one has to be careful where and how the focus will affect the image. I got...

The 100mm 2.8L IS is a really nice lens too... I highly recommend it! It's also half the price of a new 24-70mm Mark II, and still a bit cheaper than the new f4 version..

Thanks Keith! Seems to work really nice on the 5D3... Really is a heavy chunk of glass that is for sure!

Thanks... I didn't do anything out of the ordinary for these shots, and yes they where all hand held using the center Auto focus point . I wanted to see just how good the lens would be at quick...

Nice! I shot a few images at f6.3 and my eyes started to bleed.. LOL! I can only image f16!

Wildlife lens and 24-70mm really should not be used in the same sentence... As others have said, it's simply just too short to be of any value to a wildlife shooter. Why not spend the money on a...

For the last 3 years I have tried my best shooting with a Mark I 24-70mm 2.8L and I have to say 85% of the time I was never happy with the images.. So I sold it, and an old 40D body, a 100mm Macro...

Common issue on the 40/50D bodies... Likely needs a new shutter button contact assembly..Derek

E2 was originally developed for SONY I believe for their tin-oxide coats on the anti-aliasing filter over the sensor.. They applied the same recommendation to Canon's Tin Oxide coated sensors... ...

Personally I think everyone needs to know how to do it themselves, (You obviously do) I'm not a fan of someone who has zero connection to the camera, past 5 minutes, touching the inside of my...

Depends on the one you have, but basically they are just just stuck on with two sided tape. A careful heating with a hair dryer should help to remove it.. You will need something like a small...

Well all I have to say is you have to be careful with a statement like this.. Filters can have an affect on image quality... Even good filters can affect your images.. I have seen it first hand...
-
It certainly is an awful price for that lens.... After having a crappy first version, I think I will pass on this one! LOL! My wording about waiting for the market to be flooded probably isn't...

Thanks Bill... That is exactly what I was referring too!! Could not have said it any better!Derek

My statement has nothing to do with wanting any discounts?? I have a problem with those jacking the price up and over Canon's MRSP by large amounts because the supply is low. I have seen some...
