Can I achieve faster focusing for sports if I turn off the Steady Shot function?? I have read in other forums that that non IS lenses are better for sports. I am shooting with a Nex-3 18-200.
This makes sense. I have noticed that the pics I have taken sideways always come out better but the slow focus issue is not solved anyway I turn the camera.I take primarily sports pics of my kids...
Tell him to tighten up his equipment or he will continue to get hit, it looks too loose and unsafe.

I don't know about the 55-210mm but I have had the 18-200mm for about a yr now and love it. It can do just about anything. Here is an array of different situations.

Yes, I would love to get a 300mm to capture all the plays on the field to include the outfield stuff. AS you can see the Nex with an E 18-200mm on it does pretty good I may have unrealistic...
