  • Thanks Martin, Adobe just updated their DNG converter (9.4) with support for the X70 so I'm starting to shoot some comparison photos with both the X70 and GR. Ned
  • Thanks for the link. I hadn't seen this and I bookmark "artnet":)
  • Greetings! Don't even bother with SilkyPix. Assuming you use PhotoShop or Lightroom, shoot in DNG and process with Adobe Camera Raw. The files are very malleable with accurate colors. You can pull ...
  • Hi folks, since someone spotted my X70 test photos on Instagram, I thought I'd share what I'm up to. As many of you know I've shot almost exclusively with both GR's for close to 3 yrs, I still use ...

Thanks JLS for clarifying what Matthew actually said:) Cheers, Ned

Thanks. That sounds like a great project and I don't think it would be too hard to accomplish provided you kept your frame of reference (lens FOV) the same and tried for consistent composition.

  • Make sure the camera has firmware version 1.10 installed. A good friend of mine had same issue with his brand new GR II. I told him to install 1.10, and he said every thing was fine afterwards. I ...
  • Hi Harold, Here are two from 2015 that I hope you enjoy. Cheers, Ned Hobe Sound, Florida. Photo shot with GR. Granddaughter Emma. Photo shot with GXR, M mount, 35mm Summicron.
  • This is a tongue-in-check comment, but wouldn't it be easier just to buy the GXR with the M mount:) I love mine and it still produces superb images with my 35 ASPH Summicron. Cheers, Ned
  • If you look at the photo of the person filling out the questionnaire the sheet has 5 columns and several rows. Looks like one can select certain features from this matrix. Having carefully evolved ...

    Nice photo and technique:)
  • The black card with "?" mark was instructing visitors to fill out a questionnaire asking what they'd like to see in future GR's. That's a good sign:)
  • That's an understatement:) Not sure what they've done in the UK, but in the U.S. unfortunately the GR has no marketing support that I'm aware of.

Apologize that I can't help with a translation, but it looks like Ricoh had a nice party in Tokyo on the 26th to celebrate 10 years of the GR digital series... http://m.dc.watch.impress.co.jp/docs/ ...
  • Thanks Carl, appreciate your advice. BTW, have you ever shot with the GR -1 film camera. I have the "v" model and it's such a nice little camera. It clearly shows that the engineers have been ...
  • Thanks Carl, I assume the lens is the same in the GX200? Since I shoot RAW all the time, I can just keep an eye on my highlights. Does it have a similar toggle like the GRD IV or GR to easily do ...
