It might be interesting to note that very close to where you were standing when you took this shot, the Welland River crosses *under* the canal through an aqueduct.
Lovely image, BexCT. I grew up a few blocks from this Main Street bridge. Used to swim in the canal, on the other side of the bridge from your viewpoint, by the church in the background. Enjoyed seeing this. mike marshall, oakville
