That's correct if the D800/E was a DX camera, then yes the D7000 would out-resolve it. However the D800 is an FX camera using a full frame sensor. The other thing to consider is that megapixels...

Yup it was SOP, but RC models don't (usually) use Lithium-Ion batteries. LI batteries don't really like to be run down to zero.
