i only use manual selection, center is just the center = 1 focus point.also im having trouble with sharpness when using recompose with the center. its ok if you work with subjects a few meters...
-
hmm i suppose its highly unlikely that the center works and the others are faulty just with my k30?I mean i have done some heavy shooting in museums recently, and focus was very bad off-center,...
-
when using the viewfinder i find that the center focusing point is accurate, the rest are fairly useless i.e. blurry. (even in good light)any opinions on that from other k30 owners?
-
yeah k30 has the best apsc low noise iso out there. plus it has anti shake inbody. with nikon and canon you have to buy a lens with that built in = blurry edges.
-
yeah k30 owner here... also have to say that as far as aps-c goes, the k30 is king in the price/value dep. lowest iso noise + inbody anti shake. (i shot a lot in museums) For Nikon and Canon you...

yeah well i never take a computer with me on my trips. Im usually away 2 months - if i delete it will be using the camera - and even if i do that back in the hotel when i have all the time, its...

too bad this is not updated any longer....http://www.pentax-hack.info/

yeah welll for me the output is the most important thing. take a shot with the k30 and the k5II = largely same pic.if that minor extra stuff is worth twice as much - well in my opinion its a ripoff.
-
get the k30 its basically the same camera for half the price.dont believe me? see for your self: http://www.dpreview.com/reviews/pentax-k-30/20

I did at first, but 14x works better for me.Still, is there a solution that i can stay in ZOOM when deleting?
-
hey, for checking focus i always use the zoom view.so when comparing images at 14x zoom on the LCD, hitting delete always kicks me out of the zoom view. and I have to start over again.this is...

jpegs with noise reduction ON.....
-
yeah, imo, iso800 not really useable. (with the pentax k30 it is)
-
"They aren't leaving VR/IS out of the body because they can jack up lens prices" since they have so many lenses already out there with IS, and they are much more expensive they will never add IS...
-
no, you are not to understand that....
-
too bad the many added elements for VC will make IQ much worse than the nonVC version. same thing with the 17-50. and all just because Nikon and Canon wont put VC in their bodies....
-
I have had about over ten 17-50 over 10 years on my Canon cameras and not a SINGLE lens has had AF issues. In terms of image quality - a decent copy can go toe toe or surpass Canon L glass. (and I...

same thing with my k30http://www.pentaxforumsxxx.com/forums/pentax-k-30/205160-damndest-thing-5-6-a.html(remove xxx)
-
nope my stuff doesnt move = museums, indoor architecture, so you can shut up with your overpriced shaky cam. (lets not forget the shallow field of depth on FF - which sucks for what i wanna shoot)
-
too bad Nikon cameras dont have in-body stabilization. as i work 50 percent in low light conditions i bought the PENTAX k30 instead.
