Andrew Elliott: A great camera with fantastic ergonomics and lens.. Can't wait for the GRD 5 with an RX100 sensor!
I've had the GRD II, two III's and IV It's my all time favourite camera for dimensions, build, lens, angle of view... but I gave up because of the sensor which is just too noisy now... so totally agree! ( now dreaming) what about an x3f Foveon sensor: Sigma x Ricoh .... I'm not sure you'd ever need another camera for all the reasons we love it?
Here's hoping they don't give up on it and give it the modern sensor it so richly deserves?..... mono-culture.com
Les Kamens: I really love Hipstamatic one of my favorite camera apps. some might say it's a toy and others just another brush and palette... make art!!!!!! it's fun
G Davidson: Hipstamatic is definitely the most innovative photo app I've used, though it just has one major flaw... No option to save a regular photo alongside the filtered one. Whilst I know they feel this goes against their philosophy, it puts a lot of people off using their app.
Completely Agree. What inspires me is the emotion of a picture rather than absolute realism. It's getting easier by the day to take well exposed, crisp photos with loads of detail: I think there is room for both?
I quite like hipstamatic - I wrote about it here: and there are a number of lo-fi galleries on here:
There's also some other work on the DP2M and Fuji X-Pro1 here that you might find interesting.
I hope Hipstamatic are able to find a way through their difficulties.
