  • Replied in Bruce,
that E-30 is such a fine camera and especially in your capable hands. I have an E-30 and if they want it back they will have to pry it out of my cold dead hands. ;-)
  • thanks for the detailed explanation of your photographic adventures. Certainly more than I expected. I was trying to come up with a title for your second image but it certainly would not be "boots ...
  • Replied in Wes,
thanks for your comments. I was attracted to that image for many of the reasons you mentioned, especially the reflection in the hood and the headlight. Thanks again.
  • Replied in lambert,
Because you don't know me well, you misinterpreted my post as a serious one. I was pulling your leg, of course. But you had no way of knowing that minus a smiley face or some other sign that it ...
  • Replied in A Variety
A fine group of images Andrew. I wonder about the eagle sitting on the man's shoulder. Must hurt with those claws digging in to hold on. Maybe that's why the person's eyes are closed. I amazed ...
  • A fine landscape indeed. It looks as if you used special processing on it. Is that the case?
  • Seattle, one  of my favorite cities, well, except for the rain. Is there a former working class neighborhood in any large city that hasn't been gentrified? Well, maybe Detroit. But everyone has ...
  • Taken with the E-30 and 9-18mm lens which accounts for the distortion.
  • I assume you are speaking of the 4/3 50-200 SWD (is there even a micro version?).  A guarantee of insanity is putting that lens on a "toy" camera like the EM-1. you need to put it on a ...
  • Replied in Andrew,
by shutter action I assume you man more blur. My shutter speed was way too high for that I'm afraid. In fact, I'm surprised it was blurred at all at 1/640. I'm thinking  1/120 would be more it. ...
  • Replied in Coming at You.
You'll love it. Cheap and useful. The secret is to keep the shutter speed high or put it on a tripod. I sometimes pair it with the Olympus EC-14 for a super reach lens. Thanks for your compliments.
  • Replied in Coming at You.
I took this image Saturday morning at a local general aviation airport with the Olympus E-30 and Zuiko 70-300 lens. The camera was handheld. Better viewed in the original size. http://www.pbase.com ...
  • Nice images Andrew. The cars are really nice. Did you replace the background on those images?
  • Replied in Roger,
now that you mentioned it I went back and looked at the exif for that shot and it was at 9mm. Which means it was probably shot with the 9-18mm, which was a surprise to me because I didn't think I ...

  • From the archives. As far as I can remember it was taken with the Zuilo 12-60.
  • Replied in gone skiing
Looks like a double Black Diamond run to me. Nice shot.
  • I agree with Roel. The animals stand out very well as it is. There is almost a 3d effect in this shot. Well done.
  • before I moved South to get away from all that snow (41 Inches) in Boston, I was a native of Massachusetts, and the Boston suburbs, (Born and bred) so I hereby claim the Lombardi awarded to the ...
