They were clearing out the GXR in Britian as well no to long ago if that would help. I am assuming they will do the same with the GRD IV.  But I don't know which stores. Someone here will be able...

In all the time I have been reading DPR I can't recall ever once seeing such a total lack of response to  one of their reviews. Especialy about a camera that  I "thought" was so egerly awaited.

It means they are clearing them out. 12000 yen = 125.00 Canadian$ which is what I paid when they cleared the GXR out.

It still is no guarantee that one or the other will have a better IQ which was your assertion. In fact at this point it is an educated guess at best. But in a month or so we shall know for sure. :)
