How about an Fuji X80, a smaller camera with just an optical viewfinder, F1.7 lens and APSC sensor
I guess Fuji will milk the X100 as far as they can then launch a full frame
Eugene232: nice camera but overpriced.Ricoh GR and Nikon A 2- 3 times cheaper with the same IQ
If the price is a problem ether wait 18 months or buy the X100s
Why no Leica?
Why don't we see tests of hi-end Leica's here on DPreview?
Why not launch it in black first, then launch the silver one later... or have they run out of black paint?
mamiller: Intriguing camera, very retro-attractive. But 350 shots per battery charge is a show stopper for me. Why is dismal battery life not listed as a con in the review summary? No other camera classified as semi-pro has a rating of less than 750 shots per charge, to my knowledge -- most average even more shots than that.
350 shots is over nine rolls of traditional film, with the money you've saved, buy yourself a spare battery
Really looking forward to seeing test results from this camera, well done Sigma for being brave enough to make it!
Freddell: Bought a 70D after many rave reviews like this one and for wanting a faster auto focus than my Fuji X100.
With the 18-135 Kit lens indoor shooting without flash is very difficult. 70D very bad high ISO capability compared to X100.
Bought a Sigma 18-35 1.8 to cure the low light performance and discovered to my absolute dismay now that the view finder auto focus is not capturing the right object, thus rendering the 18-35 1.8 useless indoors with its short focal length.
I would have trashed the 70D for a Nikon immediately if not for the touch screen. I feel that is immoral that no you tube review of 70d or Sigma 18-35 mentions that the auto focus of the 70d is useless rendering the lens meaningless.
Re focus issues - The way I choose my first DSLR some years ago was to try all the cameras I was interested in, all together, in the same shop. The only camera that hit focus instantly, every time, was the Canon 350D. I've still got that camera.
Zoron: already I am looking forward to X-T2....the way it's meant to be...
The X-T3 is going to be knock-out!
Kali108: To Cane and others who "just don't get it"...as a D800 owner and daily Canon 5d3 user at work...I will be getting a X-T1 asap. Not the right camera for everyone, but the utter inability of people to judge a camera based on its own merits never ceases to amaze me.
It's a deal breaker lol
Looks just gorgeous, and if its as good as that top plate suggest, it'll be a winner!
I'd love a digital back for my OM1, that's never goner happen is it
gl2k: ha ha ha ... I wet my pants.
€3100 (official price) and all you get is a camera that can't even keep a constant shutter speed over all apertures. This must be a joke.
gl2k - The kindest thing I could say is just don't post...
You may not like Fuji bashing but it’s got Fuji really moving on this sensor issue.
In pre internet days Fuji or any other manufacturer would have gotten away with an issue like this almost completely, no magazine carrying Fuji advertising would have mentioned it or shown it. The only place it might get a mention is at photo clubs, meanwhile, Joe public would blithely carry on. All power to the internet I say and manufactures be aware…
If they fix it I'll buy one...
