This would be a lot more useful to me if Aperture was included. Perhaps the reviewer just didn't have access to a Mac? Nonetheless, it still omits one of the most common converters.

This is actually quite handy to me. If LR5 stays with similar pricing to LR4 then I'll probably buy it. If they change over to some stupid subscription model, then I'll probably get Aperture instead.
Speaking of Apple, I jumped from Snow Leopard to Mountain Lion for $20 skipping Lion altogether. Reasonably priced optional upgrades are fine.
It's a great topic, but I think the article would make its point better if it demonstrated the variety and interest you could make out of a more ordinary location. Does the author perhaps also have a more plain scene near his home that can show us some different shots of?
