CameraLabTester: The nice thing about these camera brands (Samsung, Sony, etc), that are definitely NOT Canon and Nikon protocol, is that outstanding improvements come via FREE upgrades through software.
The big C and N will deliberately throttle the improvements on the next model down the line...
Good onya Samsung! and the other brands too!
The big N and C think they are the smartest a...ss...s around, they will eventually come down to earth...the fire hasn't yet reached their butts
both the offerings are 'also ran' and done with a feeling 'we have to something now or else"cpmplacency continues unless we consumers punish them by not buying.
when I see these images I wonder why did the world go digital at all !
A fixed 50mm 1:1.2 monochrome anyone?
I am going to have two of these, one for my Nikon D7100 and another one for my Canon 7D.probably best value for money.
OneLeggedCat: "and one of the very few with Raw support" ... Wut?
Panasonic superzooms have all along provided RAW.
Shame cannikon !
Is there a true 50mm for APSC? This new Canon will afterall be 80mm on APSC
at least they are not in denial as Nikon with their oil on sensor issue.
IMHO seems to be better than Nikon P900
We would have liked to know the performance of this camera in the 1000 -2000 mm range, but there are very few images in that range. This is the range that is the selling point of this camera. There are a plenty of excellent cameras especially the Panasonic FZs in the range where most of your photos with Nikon are taken.
What is your point ?
Canon stopped making excellent cameras a long ago,the A series, the EOS 3,7,1n,1v etc. film cameras. Now it is churning out enmass cameras which just catch up with the competition because they have to.Gone are the days when canon gave an ace after ace.newer plyers are offering cameras that would put cannikon to shame.
joyclick: LG is quietly delivering excellent phones compared to overhyped samsung and apple
sheep follow the other sheep
The NX500 is not the same as NX1. hahaha!!!
NX1 could have beaten 'em all @ $500 less in its pricing with the best lens in the kit.
LG is quietly delivering excellent phones compared to overhyped samsung and apple
As usual they have dodged the Dx issues.
Seems to be a big kick in the but of the established biggies who have not heard of Edward De Bono and lateral thinking.
has the looks of old Yashica rangefinder and similar ones of the days gone by,sad it only has a tiny sensor for its size.
