This is the problem with the Internet. If you Google Google any lens with "+focus issue", you will find some guy with a blog or someone (including myself) complain about something not working...

Got mine a few weeks ago and tested from 2 ft all the way to infinity and it's sharp! No focusing problem. It's an amazing lens!

You should try the 200F2 and the Sigma 35mm 1.4 before making such a statement :)

These shots are lovely. My favorite is number 6. I have a 9 months old daughter and she moves around way too fast so most of the photo are are blurry even with the D800 and the Sigma 35mm 1.4. ...

I shoot with just the following lenses and not buying anymore lenses for now.
Sigma 35mm 1.4 (67mm)Nikon 85mm 1.4g (77mm)Nikon 70-200mm VRII (77mm)
I want to buy a B+W circular polarizer filter for...

You have the D600. Go with Sigma 35mm 1.4 and you will never miss the 24-70mm. I sold mine 24-70mm soon after I go the Sigma.

I don't have to have the latest or fastest card. Something acceptable on D800 for casual kids photos.I currently have a $30 Scandisk 32 gb SD card that I bought for video. It's painfully slow for...

I was deciding between the Nikon and the Sigma. Talk to a friend and he said "If you really want the Nikon, buy his Nikon 35mm 1.4g and he will buy the Sigma." Went out and bought the lens and I...

Just bought one last week. All I can say is WOW. The sharpest lens I own. Tested from 2 ft to infinity. Left & right outer focus points - Flawless!

Get the Sigma 35 1.4 and thank me later. It does street and portraits. 85mm alone is not versatile. I have Sigma 35mm 1.4 and Nikon 85mm 1.4g and I am extremely happy. Unbeatable combo.

I really enjoyed your photos. I have no feedback. Do you have any special picture control on d800 or post processing? I the colors are really vibrant.

The only things that more likely to scratch your camera or lenses is your ring. I wear a ring in my right hand little finger and it scratched the corner of my D800.

The weight bothers me so much I sold my 24-70mm. Now I have Sigma 35mm 1.4, 85mm 1.4g and 70-200 VR II.

DXo reports that the Sigma 24% sharper then the Nikon. Is it that good? Seems like everyone like this lens.

I want to ask this in mirrorless forums but I am sure to get bias answers. I would like to hear from people here who shoot with Nikon 85 1.4g.

I have 1.5 inch thick/soft foam in addition to the well padded ThinkTank bag.
-
I want to add that I plan to use it portrait and as a walk-around lens.

I am trying to decide between a brand new Sigma $1017 (with local tax) or a used but 2 flawless Nikon version for $1200. The used lens is US version and I am in Canada so the warranty is invalid. ...

I have my lens facing downward in my bag with the weight of the camera body on it. Occasionally the lens cap falls off and the its edge rubbing against the front of the lens. Can this one day...
