Got mine a few weeks ago and tested from 2 ft all the way to infinity and it's sharp! No focusing problem. It's an amazing lens!

You have the D600. Go with Sigma 35mm 1.4 and you will never miss the 24-70mm. I sold mine 24-70mm soon after I go the Sigma.

Just bought one last week. All I can say is WOW. The sharpest lens I own. Tested from 2 ft to infinity. Left & right outer focus points - Flawless!

Get the Sigma 35 1.4 and thank me later. It does street and portraits. 85mm alone is not versatile. I have Sigma 35mm 1.4 and Nikon 85mm 1.4g and I am extremely happy. Unbeatable combo.

The only things that more likely to scratch your camera or lenses is your ring. I wear a ring in my right hand little finger and it scratched the corner of my D800.

The weight bothers me so much I sold my 24-70mm. Now I have Sigma 35mm 1.4, 85mm 1.4g and 70-200 VR II.
