As you see, one should print "specimen" if it...

Yes indeed. I do not have a Fuji (yet), but i am amazed to see Peter71951 posting very good shots of feathers and banknotes that show very clearly (if you enlarge them to 100 % in the standard...

Hi,
Of course there is the famous leica monochrome. Indeed, if you look at the fine details, they are better than a M9 color image converted to B&W.
Now, the algorithms used in raw-converters are...

Dear Godfrey,
You are comparing the DOF of a 35 mm lens on APS-C to a 50 mm lens on a FF.
Your observation is of course right, i agreed on that from the beginning.
The difference to what I said is...

Wate at 21mm , F4, distance 1 m, should be sharp from 80 cm to 140 cm on a full frame. Seems correct for the GXR too.
(the 5.6 limits would have been 70 cm to 160 cm)
Wate 21mm at F4

I would take a fast 35, (2.0 or 1.4), and the tiniest thus slow 21 or 24 mm, as landscapes etc are often in decent light or on a tripod (look into leica too, second hand ?)
For the portraits, i...

Godfrey , you might reconsider your explication that you maintained for 40 years .
And fortunately, from time to time someone did not believe you.
Better read here:...
