2 bodies, 1 normal, 1 converted to full-time Infrared. An excellent sports/action camera for amateurs that is only lacking in high ISO performance. I still often use the d300 for sports/action in good lighting conditions and really wish for an update to the d300 that properly addresses the high ISO issue.
Quite simply the best camera that I've ever used. The ergonomics and performance are incredible.
Great little body with a sensor that is one of the best ever made for DX. My only discomfort is with the ergonomics of the camera, but it is an excellent body for value in terms of bang for the buck.

Excellent camera, a terrific mate to the d300. IMO, it's the best amateur sports/action camera available with an FX sensor, only being bettered by the d3/d4 full pro bodies.
Good, solid DX camera with an excellent sensor. I'm spoiled by other cameras having pro AF, so I'm not as happy with the AF module of the d7000 for the most demanding AF situations, but for general purpose photography, this is an excellent body.

Nikon AF Nikkor 135mm f/2D DC
IMO, it is quite simply one of the best general purpose cameras available today, with pro level AF and a sensor that lacks little in allowing you to make the best photos that you can. I wish that it had a high performance feature that allowed for smaller, but full-size images to be taken at a minimum of 8fps without needing any workarounds or loss of any other features.

Nikon AF-S Nikkor 200mm f/2G ED-IF VR
Nikon AF-S Nikkor 24-70mm f/2.8G ED
Absolutely the best lens that I've ever used, with very fast and accurate AF and very sharp, even at max aperture. Incredible lens.

Sigma 120-300mm F2.8 EX DG HSM
Other gear:
  • Nikon d300 converted to full-time InfraRed
  • Sigma 100-300 f/4 Discontinued lens, but one of my favorites for many things. I really wish that Nikon or Sigma would do another one like it, except sharper wide open.
