beautiful portrait...beautiful lady...nice blurred background with just enough visible behind her to make her costume and skin blend perfectly with her surrounding.

jj74e: some of the pictures of homeless people aren't great photos- they seem to simply be taking advantage of the fact that they're homeless without thinking about the actual photographic quality.
agreed...taking photos of the poor and homeless is one thing...but to use their situation for the purpose of entering a challenge to me has ethical issues...

Enjoying McDonald's and no children allowed??? Zoinks! Ever heard of Kids Meal or Happy Meal?
much better! good job! :)
nice shot...if this was cropped, perhaps a little more background area and rule of 3rd...
nice bokeh...i think it would have been better if the camera was lower...
beautiful capture...sunlight blends perfectly..
nice colors on the flowers... but the leaves below are sort of competing with the subject...
perhaps a little more cropping above and below... but great shot none the less...
great shot... perhaps just a tad more saturation and sharpness on the subject...
good lighting, nice blurred background...
the blurred background totally makes this picture work for me...it really added some dramatic effect...
nice dark background...it really helped the subject gain some more sharpness and detail..
very nice background..good thing Santa lost a lot of weight.. :)
" bokeh is part of the compostion to highlight the subject" - perfect illustration...same with Betty about the wing though...but still a great shot...
beauty in simplicity...very nice...
great background blur...makes the frozen water sand out..
beautiful portrait...beautiful lady...nice blurred background with just enough visible behind her to make her costume and skin blend perfectly with her surrounding.
thanks for sharing this beautiful creation of nature...great shot!
great emphasis on the subject.
nice bubbly effect.. )
