I'll get the FF when / if it comes. The new lens line will have leaf shutters, so it will be a very unique proposal.
But more realistically, and as I'm into birding lately, I'd like a DA* 400mm...

Thanks Jim!
Me neither. I'd rather photograph spiders at 800mm, but this one was about the size of my pinky's nail. Surprisingly, i think it's kinda cute!
By the way, I just tried the 200 macro...

Do take something fast and wide. 50 f/1.7 will do, but wider is better. Prague has so many beer spots, but most are small and dark...
I think you'll love the 14 in town.
Have a nice trip!

Super! I love the moose and the deer best.

Awesome! I'm looking forward to the pix! :)

Yup.
And they all have focus trap for manual focus lens (without needing to "butterfly chips" or any other kind of adaptor).
And focus micro-adjustment.
They all have a green button for easy...

Thanks Jim,
That's nice, so they have a couple of 600mm f/4's on their forehead, and another 3 pairs of lens of various focal lengths... Lucky jumping spiders!

And what big fangs you have....
A little Salticidae.
Pentax K5 + A* 200mm macro + Sigma 610 Super flash on camera + diffuser
Single exposure, he would not sit still enough for tripod + stacking.

Hmmm... I'm a huge Pentax fan, but i'm also hugely jealous of Canon's 400mm f/5.6 L, and all the other Canon long lens options (70-300 DO, 100-400L.... For portable wildlife, it doesn't get much...

A lovely series, especially the white rose looks so delicate. Thanks for sharing Bob!

*cough* e.g. Sigma 50/1.4 *cough*

Yes!!! Thanks Sigma for the Pentax (and Sony) mount!

Flash synch at 1/2000sec, also with the popup, and you have a built-in ND filter too. It's great for those summer beach shots, it's all so easy!

From a handling perspective, the Q has much more in common with a dslr than it does with a P&S. I have all 3 types of cameras, and the Q is a photographer's tool. I have not used a p&s that does...

Just for the record, pink and glittery-silver would match 80% of my daughter's clothes. You get used to it, really, though gold is a bit much... And no, she can't borrow my silver limiteds.

Do you mean the 100-400L on full frame or aps-c Canon?
For FF canon, the DA* 60-250.
Otherwise:
Bigma (i hear the new 50-500 is significantly better than the other sigmas)
Pentax DA* 300 with a...

Those are beautiful pictures. The temple is impressive, and the carvings so intricate: amazing.
Thank you for sharing!

Very nice, very sharp pictures!
I'm liking that 60-250!

I'm surprised by the low comparative scores the K5 received compared to the Nikon D7100 in certain areas. The "performance" score is particularly misleading as the D7100 can only shoot 5 or 6 RAWs,...
