Video? Oh, so that's the extra button on top of my nikons:-O

If set to -- it will still fire preflashes to measure and communicate with the remote flashes, but shoud not provide appreciable exposure illumination in the final flash of what is actually a high...

While I have not had a chance to compare them side by side, the matrix metering in my D800e seems far less prone to blowing out the highlights. Enough that I've dialed in a -1/3 adjustment for...

Wow, that paints a picture...:-O

I asked a similar question in the lens forum:http://forums.dpreview.com/forums/thread/3388330#forum-post-50909527 --Curt Godfreyhttp://www.curtgodfrey.zenfolio.com

Thanks, that's a helpful example.

As you said, in a heartbeat.

Opps, too late to edit. I meant "DXXXX, etc." in the first line.

I need some advice from those who have used larger lenses on partial alloy bodies (DXXX, etc.). I use a D800E as my primary body and am very satisfied. Until recently, my D300 served as a backup...

I think that's for the D800 not D800E ($2900 for refurb at Adorama).

I've only run into the lock situation once or twice and it's usually when I've got some significant control point selection going on. Might want to make sure you have the most recent version of...
