Considering that much of the country had snow yesterday that's a wise move :-)
Sometimes you can get all four seasons in a day. The only thing that's predictable about the weather is that it will...

I thought I might have but couldn't work out what it was :-)
My excuse is it's getting late here.

Some people are very keen on a Nex 6 or 7 style lefthand viewfinder and get the hump that they can't get an M43 with EVF without an ...er hump.
It does appeal to me as a second, slightly more...

I think much of the world may disagree with you here. Some of the breweies here in the UK have been around a lot longer that that.

I do agree with you that an add on finder is a bit of a nuisance if you use the viewfinder most of the time and that's why I own an OM-D.
The next generation OM-D will have the new viewfinder of...

Except the Olympus featured in the ad has a sensor that is as good or better than the Canon APS-C Dslr's sensor, an add on viewfinder that gives a view the same size as a Canon 1DX and lenses that...

Well my 12 - 60 mm was not attached to the body at the time and survived sitting in the sea.
I do agree that I may have just been lucky.

I dropped my four thirds 12 - 60 mm lens into salt water for around 30 seconds before i managed to fish it out.
It has continued to work perfectly apart from initially a little salt under the zoom...

My guess would be economies of scale.
Olympus does batch manufacturing (or so I've read)
They probably placed an order for a large number of shutter mechanisms capable of 1/8000 speed for the...

You're going to be waiting a long time if you're waiting for a zoom lens that is equally sharp at all focal lengths and apertures.
And even the best zoom lenses that are at least good at most focal...

Henry,
That's a very good point, though personally I normally mainly use the front control wheel when the camera is up to my face. Well, with the OM-D I use both control wheels as the easiest way...

The best (most pleasing) colour from any Oly body that I've used was either the E400 or the E3.
I can't make up my mind on which was the best.
I've also read the E1 was great.
I don't think any of...

Put a configurable control ring around the lens throat like they did with the XZ series as well as two control wheels on the body and you can probably reduce the number of buttons on the body which...

No. They last a lifetime, are a pleasure to own and are manufactured in the UK by skilled workers.
To me those are very good reasons to buy one.

So if a new M43 camera comes out and every who needs a new camera in the whole world buys it how many of those tourists would have that new camera then
5%, 10% ?
The reality is that the majority...

It's not as simple as that as you'll find out when you grow up.
Most of the population suffer from presbyopia when they get into their forties and unless you continually take out reading glasses...

Who knows ?
Perhaps it's the same reasons Americans like pick up trucks, guns, religion and giant meals ?
Or perhaps it's just a different culture that values different attributes from other parts...

It was suggested on four thirds rumours that this put the camera into a 'Mysets' mode
-
I suspect that will put the IBIS into mode 1 or 2 for normal photography or panning the camera.

A confession here :-)
I own the OM-D and the Panasonic G3 and I've hardly touched the G3 since I got the OM-D.
And as a long time Olympus OM user I love the looks of the OM-. In fact it was the...
