Would the best person to advise you about trimming all your gear is someone with stacks of gear and one who takes more photo's then the average hobby photographer,so best quailified.

I missed more moments with slow zoom lens in the past, i carry the Oly 17mm and 45mm and i'm good,if i'm in a zoom mood i carry a Canon G15

I use the older non VC Tamron 17-50mm f2.8 lens,very sharp,fast f2.8 lens thru the focal range,compact and cheap on fleabay.
27mm for wide shots and 75mm for good portraits etc,all in one great lens.
